Brewing Guides — steep times & temperatures
Classic Black
Fully boiling (212°F), 3–5 min. Lighter blacks like Darjeeling: 3 min. Add milk after steeping.
Chai & Spiced Black
Boiling water, 5 min. For a latte, simmer the bag in milk and water.
Green, White & Oolong
Rest water off the boil (175–185°F). Green/white 2–3 min, oolong 3–5. Too hot turns them bitter.
Fruit & Berry
Boiling water, 5–6 min. Forgiving — steep longer for a bolder cup.
Herbal & Caffeine-Free
Chamomile, peppermint, ginger, honeybush, rooibos. Boiling, 5–7 min. Longer only deepens flavor.
Holiday Spiced
Boiling water, 5 min. Add an orange slice or cinnamon stick for extra warmth.
Cold Brew
Cold water, no heat. Steep 5–10 min, or a few hours in the fridge for a smoother, stronger cup. Any bag can be cold-brewed.
A few tips
Cover while steeping to hold heat. One bag per cup. For iced tea, brew double strength so the ice doesn't water it down.
